Momma's Party

On the way home from the wedding I found out my mom was throwing a party for the neighbor who returned home from Iraq. We didn't make it until the very end because of traffic but it sounded like it was a great time! It was nice to see Mom, Carol, and Anette!

Buttercup was so cute laying on mom's feet while she was talking to Grandma!
Buttercup listening to Vic!
Aw, she is soooo cute!

Mom got really excited when I confirmed our QUEEN FOR THE DAY plans. For Mother's Day, mom wanted to go see a Roller Derby match, so Casey and I researched it! It just so happens that DC Armory ladies roller derby is having a tournament that Saturday! When I told Mom about it she got so excited! I can't wait to see this! Its going to be AWESOME!

Wedding Post

This weekend we went to Jon and Anna's wedding. Jon is a good college friend of Vic, and it was so great to be able to hang out with all of his college buddies!

We left for Philly on Friday right after work, and arrived around nine thirtyish. We went to this awesome bar, that had 10 cent wings! They were SOOO good! I really enjoyed meeting Justin time and his girlfriend!

We stayed at Rick's mom's house and woke up the next morning to get ready for the wedding. We met up with Jess, Rick's girlfriend on the way and took some beautiful pictures at her house!

The wedding ceremony was beautiful! Anna is gorgeous, and we wish them the most happiness! Vic really liked the Preacher, he was easy to listen to, and had wonderful readings! We definitely were inspired by their wedding ceremony. After the wedding there was about a three hour break before the reception, we were a little hungry so we went to Hooters =D, and took some pictures on the way

After Hooters, we checked into the hotel, and got ready for the reception (and after party ;D..) The reception was located at a newly renovated Holiday Inn. Before the doors opened there was a huge hallway that we mingled in for about an hour. There was an open bar, and servers with amazing appetizers (crab cakes, bacon wrapped scallops, etc.) We got a chance to meet some new people, as well as catch up with old friends!

When the doors opened for the Reception, it felt like you were walking into a fairytale! There were flowers, candles, and bows on every chair, at every table. The decorations were beautiful! There was a dance floor right in the center, with the head table on one side, and a dj booth on the other. We had a very nice prime rib for dinner, and a great tomatoe/mozzarella appetizer. The bar from previously had been shut down, and the windows opened on the other side, it was like inside of the wall! We thought that was awesome! We really enjoyed the reception.

We had so much fun!

I LOVE this picture!

Can you tell I had a good time?!?!

On the way home, we were saying how we had fun every second of the weekend! It was an awesome time, and we can't wait to see everybody again! Congratulations Jon and Anna!

Wonderful Weekend

I had the best weekend! The weather was gorgeous, I got to spend time with my family, and I got to go shopping!
I found the perfect dress for the wedding! It has dark brown, peach, and a dark pink in a sort of moddish pattern. I also bought a matching clutch and new shoes! I LOVE the dress, its better than I could have hoped for, and so much cheaper than the budget!
Casey came home from college for her spring break. We went out to lunch at Red Robin with mom and dad. It was soooo good! I love their burgers, and wraps! Afterward we went to Walmart and mama paid, it was a nice surprise!
I also got to scrapbook with Carol yesterday! I LOVE scrapping with her, shes creative, fun, and halarious! Here are some of the layouts we made!

I am so excited about being on Spring Break this week, It is greatly needed to catch up with some things! Some reading, folding, and definately some scrapping! I made this a few weeks ago for our bedroom. We have a continuous bamboo theme throughout our home, so I wanted something green with pink! I made this entirely with the cricut, and some stickels for the flowers.

Enjoy the beautiful weather, and hope to see you soon!

Love,
Stine

P.S. You all should create a blog, its sooooo easy! Then we can all stay in touch!

First Post

WELCOME! To my new blog! I haven't had one of these for a while, but I'm VERY excited about starting this one!

I figured I would create a blog for a few reasons.
  1. Be able to communicate better with my friends and family
  2. Post the recent scrapbook pages I've done lately
  3. Share pictures of recent events
I can't promise I'll keep up with it regularly, but I'll do the best I can!

Recently, I've created a gallery on scrapbook.com where you can post your layouts to be viewable by other scrapbooker's. I've been a member of sb for some time now. It can be described as a "myspace" of scrappers. Its nice to be able to view wonderful artist's masterpieces! I have found wonderful ideas and examples that have helped me grow as an artist. Not to say I was "bad" before, but seeing other creative ideas have really inspired me, and I've grown so much from this website!

Examples of AFTER:

In the upcoming posts I will be posting creative projects, my recent layouts, and some of my favorite's that I've created!

I've been in the scrapping mood lately ever since Christmas time. We are going to a wedding soon and I had a lot of fun creating the card.

I've been pretty busy lately with school and work, but thankfully next week is SPRING BREAK so I can relax and get caught up on some things! I have finished all my exams except for one which was rescheduled to the end of March. So we've been preparing for this wedding, I think today were going to go shopping for a dress and some shoes for myself. I have an idea as to what I'm looking for. Pictures coming soon!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Thanks for visiting, and be sure comment!

Love,
Stine

P.S. Here's one of my favriote recent layouts. I made this with the "Chole's Closet" collection by Making Memories. The paper line is very country, not to girly, its perfect! I've done a lot with the collection and can't wait to show you all the pictures!
